3 Days Mount Meru Climb – Arusha National Park Trek
Tour Overview
The 3 Days Mount Meru Climb is a challenging but rewarding trek that takes you to the summit of one of Africa’s most beautiful volcanoes. Rising to 4,566 meters, Mount Meru is the fifth highest mountain in Africa and offers spectacular scenery throughout the climb.
Compared to Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru is less crowded and more untouched, making it an ideal adventure for climbers seeking a quieter trekking experience.
Because the mountain is located inside Arusha National Park, hikers often encounter wildlife along the trail, including giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, monkeys, and various bird species.
The climb passes through several ecological zones:
- Montane forest
- Heather and moorland
- Alpine desert
From the summit, climbers enjoy breathtaking sunrise views and, on clear days, incredible views of Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the clouds.
