8 Days Lemosho Route with Crater Camp
Tour Overview
The Lemosho Route is widely considered the most scenic route on Mount Kilimanjaro, offering breathtaking panoramic views from multiple sides of the mountain. Starting on the remote western side at Londorossi Gate, the trail crosses beautiful rainforest, the vast Shira Plateau, and dramatic alpine landscapes before reaching the summit at Uhuru Peak (5,895 m).
This 8-day Lemosho Route with Crater Camp itinerary is a special expedition designed for adventurous climbers who want to sleep inside Kilimanjaro’s volcanic crater, near the famous Furtwängler Glacier. Only a small number of climbers experience this unique overnight stay.
Because of its longer duration and gradual ascent, the Lemosho Route provides excellent acclimatization and a high summit success rate.
